Entrance Call & Call of the Cardinals

The Tower announced on May 11, 1933: "..when the Cardinals of C. U. take the field in the opening game next fall, they will be sent on to that gridiron with rousing cheers accompanied by a brand new song composed by Professor Leman and known as 'The Call of the Cardinals.'"
And from the next fall, October 12, 1933: "Some of the students may have noticed that a particular trumpet fanfare has been played before all band concerts, and also whenever the Redbirds pass the enemy's goal line. This composition was also written by Mr. Leman, and is titled 'The Call of the Cardinals.' It is the note of assembly for the organization."
