Crane, Alan Horton

Alan Horton Crane (1901-1969) was born in Brooklyn, New York and attended the Pratt Institute. He went on to become a noted printmaker and book illustrator. Crane was well known particularly for his renderings of New England. He was a member of the Salmagundi Club, Audubon Artists, Society of American Graphic Artists, Philadelphia Water color Club, Washington Print Makers, Print Club of Albany, Prairie Print Makers, Guild of Boston Artists, Rockport Art Association and the North Shore Arts Association.
