Gleaves, Theodore

Theodore Gleaves was born in New York City in 1940. In 1960, he was a student of, and assistant to noted printmaker Irving Amen. In the early 1960s, he taught art to teenagers in a New York settlement house. He was among one of the youngest printers to have his work distributed by the Collectors of American Art.
