Video

Two videos have been created by the Center of Planning and Technology (CPIT) which feature the papal visit. The first video is titled “Christ Our Hope: Papal Visit Video”. The Executive Producers were the Very Reverend David M. O’Connell C.M., President of The Catholic University of America, and Frank Persico, Vice President for University Relations and Chief of Staff. It was produced by Earl Beckwith and Associates, Inc. The Associate Producer was Dustin W. White, Remote Education Technology Coordinator. It was directed by Jim Veizis, Video on Location, Inc. The video follows Pope Benedict XVI during his historical visit to The Catholic University of America. The video captures the Holy Father’s arrival on campus, his monumental address, and emotional departure in real time. Copies of the “Christ Our Hope” DVD are available through online request. The second video is titled “A Year for the Ages”. The Executive Producers were Ziaeddin Mafaher, Chief Information Officer and Executive Director of CPIT, and William Lantry, Director of Academic Technology Services. It was produced, directed, and edited by Dustin W. White. The Associate Producer was Eric Gramatges. The video was created to celebrate the incredible year experienced by students, faculty, and staff at The Catholic University of America. The video highlights the record-breaking incoming freshman class, the inspiring story of the Opus Prize, the amazing opportunity of praying the rosary with our Holy Father, and culminates with the historical visit of Pope Benedict XVI.
