Origins and Evolution

The first issue of the Tower was published on October 27, 1922. A four-page issue, it introduced itself to the campus with a focus on local events and academic fare. As part of a burgeoning student newspaper movement, the Tower remains one of the oldest, continuously-operated student-run newspapers in the nation. Despite this run, the paper has gone through its fair share of changes. Check out the various mastheads that have graced the front page since 1922, including a now-digital facade!
