A wonderful holiday tradition at CUA is The Mistletoe Ball. Today, the event is planned and hosted by the Program Board, and formerly by the Undergraduate Student Government. The event is hosted off campus, each year the location varies. The first dance was held in 1993 at the Hyatt Regency Hotel on New Jersey Avenue, and tickets were just $10. Today, the tickets are $30 for the evening. The price has risen because the event has changed. In 1993 the formal dance went from 10:00pm until 2:00am, and no food was served. Now the dance is from 8:00pm until 12:00am, and a complete meal is served at the event. The Mistletoe Ballis a wonderful event and a great opportunity for the students at CUA to celebrate the holidays together in style.
