Mastro-Valerio, Alessandro
Alessandro Mastro-Valerio (1887 - 1953) was an American artist who lived in Michigan. He was born in Italy and studied at the Salvator Rosa Academy in Naples. He was a member of the Chicago Society of Etchers, the Society of American Etchers, and the Ann Arbor Art Association. He exhibited work in Chicago with the Society of Etchers and the Society of American Etchers and won prizes for his work in 1935, 1936, 1937. His work can be found at the New York Public Library, the Library of Congress, and the Smithsonian. He taught at the University of Michigan.
