Prior to opening his studio in Estes Park, Colorado, Richardson Rome (1902-1981) studied at the University of Minnesota.  Although he was born in Minnesota, none of his woodcuts have been identified as Minnesota scenes. He was a member of the Philadelphia Print Club, Kansas City Woodcut Society, Northwest Print Makers, and the American Society of Graphic Artists.
